Through the Child’s Eyes - The Dewey School

I’ve had the unique privilege of working with The Dewey School in Canterbury, NH, an outdoor preschool that follows the Reggio Emilia Philosophy. This project holds a special place in my heart, not only because of the incredible work they do but because both of my girls spent their preschool years there, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The Dewey School wanted to showcase the beautiful, nature-inspired environment where children learn and grow through exploration and creativity. Their vision was to create a virtual tour from a child’s perspective—capturing the magic of their outdoor classrooms, the hands-on learning experiences, and the deep connection with nature.

Over the course of this project, I had the joy of capturing both still images and video to showcase this one-of-a-kind school. The video will soon be featured on their website and social media, giving prospective families a true sense of what it’s like for the children who experience this nurturing, outdoor learning environment every day.

What’s amazing about The Dewey School is how it encourages children to build a strong connection to the natural world, while also fostering creativity, independence, and community. The philosophy is all about child-led exploration, and capturing these moments felt like witnessing pure childhood magic.

I’m so proud of the final video and images, and I can’t wait for the world to see what makes this school so special. The Dewey School will always have a special place in my heart—thank you for letting me be part of sharing your story with the world. Check them out at www.thedeweyschool.net.
