More Than a Business Trip – My Jackson Hole Experience
Some moments stick with you forever. My trip to Jackson Hole, WY, for a business project with Teton Motors was already a leap outside my comfort zone—traveling across the country, fully immersing myself in a company’s story, and capturing their brand in a way that felt truly authentic. But this trip became so much more than just work.
One evening, after a full day of shooting, I debated whether to venture out for one last photo. The company wanted an updated shot of the Teton Mountains, and while I had already captured some great ones, someone mentioned a spot near the airport that was worth checking out. I wasn’t planning on going—it was late, I was tired—but something inside me said, “just go.”
That decision led to one of the most incredible moments I’ve ever experienced.
Driving along the main road, I noticed some cars were pulled over, then I spotted something moving in the distance. A moose. Grazing peacefully on the side of the road, completely unfazed by the world around it. I stopped, in absolute awe, watching as this massive, majestic creature slowly made its way closer to us.
Then, as if the high powers that be, the moose positioned itself directly in front of the Tetons. The sun began to set, the sky exploded into colors, and everything—the mountains, the moose, the golden light—aligned in a way that felt almost surreal. I stood there, camera in hand, capturing a moment I could have never planned.
That night, I realized this trip wasn’t just about photography or business—it was about trusting my instincts, stepping into the unknown, and embracing every moment, even the unplanned ones. It was about saying “yes” when something inside pushes you forward, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Jackson Hole, you gave me more than I could have ever expected.
